We get picked up from outside our hostel at 7.10am. We pick some more passengers up from other hostels along the way. First we enjoy a scenic coastal drive to Port Douglas via the Captain Cook Highway. We stop at a lookout and take photos of the view (absolutely beautiful). Next stop - The Rainforest Habitat Wildlife Sanctuary. This is where we first encounter the cassowary. We are able to t ... read more
