Moving On Up the Royal Mile

I initially took this shot at the crosswalk near St. Giles simply to display the happy pictogram the Scots use on their traffic signals, but I am more impressed with the detail my camera's zoom captured.

Flying over to Scotland was a breeze. Actually there was a definite lack of a breeze as the Gulf Stream seemed to have disappeared. El Niño was wreaking havoc with weather patterns both in the States and throughout Europe.
