Angkor Wat is easy to spot from the air: it is the rectangular area on the right which is surrounded by a large moat. The ancient capital of Angkor Thom takes up an even larger area: it is the dark green area on the upper half of the photo, also surrounded by a moat.

October 2nd 2009 In Cambodia, officials said thousands of people were affected by Ketsana, which destroyed hundreds of houses and flooded large swathes of Siem Reap province, which is home to the famed Angkor Wat temples.
