Coming from the canal - what a sight!

The Doges Palace (Palazzo Ducale) on the right has facades which date from 1309-1424. The palace, started in the 9th century, was rebuilt several times and completed in the Renaissance period. Its unique design is Venetian Gothic. St Mark's is in the background.
