Rio Grande Gorge
Taos lies between the Sangre de Christo Mountains and the Rio Grande Gorge....amazing how long this river is!!

Today was another long drive for us. We left Santa Fe at about 7:30 am and drove about an hour and a half to Taos, NM. When we arrived in Taos, we needed to get an oil change and a tire rotation and so we found a Jeep dealership who could do it right away! What luck! While they took the 45 minutes to do the car work we walked over to a nice little café and had a delicious breakfast. The timing wa ... read more

I guess I have to change this profile for my next trip which starts July 24 and ends August 8. I am driving with my husband from Calgary, Alberta down to Alpine, TX to visit my brother. We will be seeing some awesome sights and meeting some new friends from the internet as well as some relatives along the way. Looking forward to doing the "Margarita Trail" (the drive from Alpine, TX to Devner, CO via Santa Fe and Taos, NM - we know where all the best margartia spots are along the way!) again! Long drive but worth every kilometer!!... full info
