Yesterday was the 4th of July, which, yet again, I spent outside of the U.S. For previous 4ths, I've gone clubbing in Egypt, attended parties at the Ambassador's residence in Paris, served barbecue for my neighbors in Germany, watched F-16s dogfight in Tunisia, and this year I went out on a junk cruise.
