Simiens day 3 The long wander through lobelia fields
Mulat is an awesome guy. We have nominated him, in our own private contest, for the Best Guide in Africa Award. Not only did he offer fascinating tidbits about the plants, animals, places and people we were seeing, we was endlessly helpful with building fires and buying eggs and getting us going in the morning. But what really makes Mulat stand out is the interest he showed in us and our countries. He asked us endless questions about everything in the US, UK and Sweden. One night over the campfire we discussed women’s rights and the issue of choice. On this lovely walk, he was asking me all about Mexico as it compares to Ethiopia.
