The terrain in maine is very rocky and full of boulders, many with a veritcal height of over 24 inches. I've had surgery on one knee, and the other is pretty sore. I also twisted my ankle at least 3 times. My hiking trip for this year is done. I've returned home after only 109 miles on the trail.
