Potala Palace

This is where the Dali Lama used to live (in the red section) and the white was for his government. It was lovely inside, ironic that it was filled with Chinese tourists, since China wanted to tear it down in the 50s.
Land of beautiful people... no not us!

Hi everyone! We have now been in beautiful Tibet for 4 days. The city is almost 12,000 feet above sea level... so we are slow moving at best! But it is amazing! The people are so gorgeous and friendly... and the food is a mixture of Nepalise, Tibetian, Chinese, and Indian, so we are in heaven, literally as we are on the roof of the world.
