04 April 2009 Our first trip today was to Old Sarum, an iron age ditched hill fort on the northern outskirts of Salisbury on which was located a Norman Castle. It was also the location of Salisbury cathedral before the current one was built. We then went to the Salisbury water meadows to see the view of the city Constable captured in his famous painting.
