Took overnight train to Chennai and then bus to Mamallapuram It was good to get away from the cities. Many more travellers here than in Hyderabad Mamallapuram seems to have largely recovered from the tsunami but in one beach restaurant they have a mark on the wall about 20 feet up indicating height of wave.
