It took us three days to get from Sapa in Vietnam to Luang Prabang in Lao. First we took a bus to Dien Bien Phu where we spent a night. Then we took another bus loaded with sacks of rice, potatoes, locals and 8 of us foreigners (on top of all the sacks) to the border where we sat for 7 hours.
