After getting rejected from the clubs for being 19 still (legal age in Japan is 20, and it was 3 days from by birthday), Fumi, a girl I met in Hiroshima who loves electronic music just about as much as I do, John and I all went to karaoke instead and then to a ramen shop to wait for the trains to start up again.

Over Spring Break (which is equivalent to Summer Break in America for uni students) I traveled to Hiroshima and nearby Miyajima on my own, and then to Tokyo with a dorm mate of mine. I'd suggest going to the former, and staying away from the latter. Hiroshima was a cool town. Not too big, at about 1.3 million or something, and not too small.
