We attended a traditional instrument workshop at the Alliance Frances - Addis's hub of cultural exploration. This particular instrument has one just one string. You drag the bow with one, and slap fingers on the string with the other. Traditional Ethiopian music has a five note scale, which works will with five fingers. But apparently, not my five fingers.
