Not chicken eggs

So I had a delicious meal at some restaurant on the way home from the lab one day. A fellow sat with me, he wants to learn English, and I'm not going to argue. We communicate in broken fashion and I have no idea what animals eggs I'm eating, but they taste similar to chicken eggs.
