A Visit to the CDCC - Cambodian Dump Children's Centre

I know, the name is strange, but the CDCC is exactly what it stands for - an orphanage for Cambodian children rescued from the biggest garbage dump in Phnom Penh. All of the kids have been rescued from the Stung Meanchey dump where they used to live, eat, work - a horrible existence. Hello all After thinking about if for at least a year, I have finally implemented a plan to take some time out of corporate life and volunteer for a non-governmental organisation (NGO) in Cambodia. The NGO is called Bridges Across Borders Southeast Asia (BABSEA) which focuses on several key areas of development including human & housing rights, community empowerment, child education & protection, and livelihoods training (NGO-speak for giving people skills to make a living, whether it's farming, sewing, making jewellery, etc).
