Jewish Quarter in Old Town

Today we visited the entire Jewish Quarter in Old Town Prague. Our walk was laced with synagogues dating back to the 13th Century. It was a fascinating trek through Holocaust memorials (Pinkas Synagogue) to private Synagogues for the rich (Maisel Synagogue) who financed the Hapsburg king, through a Moorish-style Spanish Synagogue to an amazing plateau of a cemetery where 17,000 Jewish dead had to ... read more
