Visiting one of the pagodas this was one of the most revered relics. basically a monk used it to drive himself to the city centre and set his self on fire in a political protest - pictures of which made world wide news front pages. Thoughtfully he got out of the car first - maybe monks don't believe in car insurance
A random act of kindness, diving and coming home

Since we last updated we have made it from Hue to Ho Chi Minh. Hue was a great place for a day! The main thing to see is the imperial citadel, unfortunately given Vietnam's rather bloody history, not much remains of what was once a very impressive structure.
