I'm a fan of St. Francis. A nature-lover, he's the patron saint of the environment (and environmentalists (and against dying alone, for the record)). Like most images of him, he's surrounded by a lamb and wolf in this display.
The Rose City July 2nd 2008 Most of my time in Portland has been spent in the Oregon Historical Society so I have not gotten to see all the sites. To explain the purpose of this new blog for me: Hopefully I will have a chance to recapture previous trips and update people on current and future excursions. Anyone who knows me knows that staying in touch is not an easy thing for me recently so I probably won't be quite as on top of this thing as most are (read: I will not update this every day on a trip. Actually, I probably won't update it during most trips. You'll have to wait until I get back to wherever home happens to be).
