Inside one of the may outer courtyard gardens of the Forbidden City.

This place was so peaceful. As we walked through the decorated walkways groups of people were playing cards, there were men playing musical instruments while women sang and danced. There were no tourists, just a beautiful garden for people to sit - very different from the Forbidden City itself.

Have been in Beijing for 1 week and it is phenomenally hot. At one point it hit 38degrees, but luckily that was not the day when the humidity was 90%. Kind of feel permanently grimey!
