Earlier in the day, the wind picked up making the river look like a dusty desert with a palm tree mirage in the distance. A rough storm seemed inevitable. I was waiting for the flying cows, water buffalo, pigs (three different ones), and Toto to whip by.

While I typically set high goals for myself, I didn't think I would achieve this specific milestone while being an unemployed traveler in Laos. Who am I? Midas? Morgan? Maecenas?
