We ran out of sidewalk.

The highway we were walking on ran out of sidewalk. Therefore, Mark walked in back of Kaitlyn so the cars could see his red fleece and so there was a less likely chance of us getting hit.

Super spontaneous weekend!!!! Yeah I went there... Seriously this past weekend was a true roller coaster.
