The premiere example of a "dry" garden. You can only see 14 of the 15 rocks from any spot. It was hard to imagine it as a place for meditation since it was full of tourists.

The morning of the 18th we were on our own in Kyoto since our train to Mt. Koya didn’t leave until mid-afternoon.
