This is the closest we got to any tennis action. We actually stayed very close to the arena, so we had a look around the complex before the day's games started

We "planned" our trip down to Melbourne without taking in to account the Australian open- only one of the top 4 tennis competitions in the world, which happened to be starting when we arrived. This made booking accommodation very tricky (and expensive).
