Well, it's not in Rajasthan but we stayed here a few days before passing on to through Delhi to Jaipur.
It's famous as the resting place of Siddhartha Gauta, aka The Buddha.
Rajasthan - Jaipur and into the Thar Desert December 1st 2005 We crossed the land border at Sunauli at the start of December and after a couple of days in Kushinigar (the site where Buddha Gottama died) we headed to Rajasthan. We spent a couple of days in Jaipur. It was certainly not my favourite place. Dusty. Loud. Expensive (relatively). Ok, so we're not really traveling at the moment. We're back in Edinburgh.
From 2005-2008 we were in Asia and based in Vietnam for over two years of the time. There were plenty of side-trips from Ho Chi Minh to neighbouring cities and countries.
