Dear Friends, I am sitting in an internet cafe in Otavalo (an hour north of Quito) and beside me are two indigenous Quichua young men watching online YouTube videos of a Japanese girl playing guitar and singing. They are watching it over and over again, zooming in on her cleavage, her guitar fingering, and clearly falling in love. The world has become a very small place indeed.... ... read more
