Hi, The only reason to visit Madurai is the beutiful temple complex, combined of several towers, all covered with coloured statuses. The statutes are over-decorated and kitschy but still, very impressive. I have visited the temple very early, at around 6 AM and it was already full with pilgrims and lots of atmosphere, groups are chanting and praying, women dressed with their saries, men with th ... read more
