From the telescopes on this lookout you can see into the centre of the crater, showing just how far away it is, There is a 6 foot wooden man and a 6' x 4' US flag, that you can hardly make out with your eye.

Slow relaxing day

We were all woken up this morning by a train passing through Williams at 3am using his extremely loud horn. This then happened again at 4am, 5am, 6am, 7am (I think you probably get the picture!)
