OK, so we knew this was going to be a bit of a trek on the coach, nearly 2 hours, but our driver gave us plenty of commentary on what we were passing, and we stopped after about an hour for a view-stop - pretty cool stuff! In December 2006 I left my job as 'Interdisciplinary Research Officer' at the University of Manchester. Before setting out on my RTW trip, I carried out a vast amount odf de-cluttering and de-junking, completed (reading) a number of careers books, produced web sites and a chapter for a high-profile book for London Transport Museum, plus generated some ideas for further articles.
