By far my favorite city in Eastern Europe (assuming that Hungary is classified as Central and Estonia Baltic), Krakow has as much to offer in its surrounding areas as in the city itself. We took a quick day trip to the Ski resort of Zakopane, headed off to the salt mines, and took in the sobering sights of Auschwitz. I am a 27 year old Hungarian-American (hold both passports). I started blogging during the start of my semester in Lithuania, Spring 2004. I have continued since, drawing mostly on travel undertaken as part of my education. In a past life I was an Account Manager for a Chemical Sales company. Now, I work as a dorm parent in a foster home / orphanage in a Hungarian speaking part of Romania.
