Leprosy, mosquito netting, power outages Oh My....

Greetings from Mumbai! I just returned from the rural rotation in Panval this afternoon. I was slightly more rustic than expected, sleeping under a mosquito net (not for looks-like in the US, but for actual protection from malaria), no clean drinking water and constant power surges. I am travelling to Mumbai, India for the month of July to learn about clinical infectious diseases and public health. I will be working in various hospitals throughout the city observing common infectious and tropical diseases that affect this region, such as TB, malaria, dengue fever, typhoid, polio and HIV/AIDS.
