Whimped out of the slow boat and spent one whole hour on the plane to Louang Phabang, it was great!! Met two very sweet but rather clueless Welsh boys on our flight and we sort out accommodation together. Wandered around the town, first Lao meal and ended up at Hive, local bar full of westerners. Evening drinking until we were thrown out at 12 after which everyone headed for the local bowling all ... read more

Well on 14th October 2006 at 10pm I am leaving the UK for a whole 11 months!!! Very scared but also extremely exciting. This has been something I have wanted to do for a long time, but for one reason or another, it has been put off. But I am now ready to explore the world, do everything there is to do and see even more. I will attempt to keep this blog updated regularly and make you all extremely jealous with loads of photos.
