The last couple of weeks have been a whirlwind for the TZ2000 team. June 5-9 was the first campaign week - held in Arusha. Since we had just received our container, we did not help during this first week, but rather worked furiously at home, so that we'd be a bit more settled by the time of the campaign in Moshi. Meet the Jensens - George & Joy, Jacob, Luke, and Lindsey. George and Joy were married in 1985. We have four children: Julia - age 24, Jacob - age 22, Luke - age 21, and Lindsey - age 19.
Our family has participated in numerous mission campaigns over the last ten years. In 2005, we had the great privilege of traveling together as a family to India, where we worked for one month. We began contemplating the idea of doing foreign mission work. In May of 2006, our whole family spent the month of May working in Malawi, Africa.
