So we landed in Vietiane, Laos' capital city. Not that you would have any idea that its the slowly developing country's major city; the occasional car buzzes past to blow some dust in the faces of the numerous tuk-tuk drivers sleeping on their own back seats...the road "improvements" half-finished without a workman in sight....we liked it!!
