Beautiful Bay of Islands
June 8th 2007 Time to head over to the East Coast to the Bay of Islands, but first we stopped at the Wairere Boulders. This area is the only known place in the world where basalt boulders have fallen into the valley, and have been eroded by a process called fluting.
