My gallery hit its max at 50 photos, so I have to go through this to add more. At Taupo we stayed in a hostel that was close enough to Lake Taupo to provide a pretty nice view of the area. Across the lake were many mountains, including Mt. Doom for any Lord of the Rings fans.
