I have recently been to the small island of Koh Tao as I heard it was one of the nicer islands and a great place to try out some diving and snorkelling. Koh Tao means turtle island and is named so due to both its shape (rotated 90 degrees it does look similar to a turtle outline) and the fact that there are turtles in the waters nearby.
