There are three main types of pigs in Cuba: Criollo, Canadian, and a hybrid of the two. We were very proud to know that this healthy well-fed pig carried by this man along the streets was Canadian! "Why is this man walking his pig in the village?" would you ask. Well, the person who owns the male pig lends it to another person who owns the female, whose babies will be shared between the two owners. Another interesting Cuban concept!
