London Day 2: A Royal Day Out August 3rd 2017 Today was the day for the "Royal Day Out". This annual event is the opening of the State Rooms at Buckingham Palace to the general public while the Queen is on holiday in Scotland. Susan had put much time into planning our attending the palace "open house". We purchased timed tickets online in advance for the State Rooms as well as tickets for the Queen's Gallery and the Royal Mews.

"I haven't been everywhere, but it's on my list." I've traveled for a long time and have many memories of places and people. I enjoy travel, especially to new places I haven't seen before. Every journey, whether brief or extended, provides the opportunity for a new experience or a different way to see things. I like travel photography, too, and always have my camera with me.
