GREEN CORN REBELLION

The Spears Farm on Roasted Corn Ridge is to the left of the road. Little Creek is at bottom of the hill. The insurrectionists were outgunned and mostly they just slunk off through the brush and went home. The most ardent Socialists were arrested, some were convicted, and a few drew lengthy prison sentences.
