The first trip we took once i was back on my feet was to Nafplio, a port town in the Peloponese about 2.5 hrs out of Athens. It was said to be charming and contain an important fortress. With lots of Venetian architecture, touristy shops, a great walkway by the water, and many places to eat, it was a good place to visit with my family.
