Some highlights from our Christmas sailing adventure with our family of 10 aboard an amazing 47’ catamaran. A big issue in the planning was to get the timing right. We ranged in age from 6 to 75. Mooring balls

In an effort to protect the coral reefs many mooring balls have been installed….much more secure than anchoring. Pat & Kim were our pro mooring crew.

We had 2. Great when on a quiet mooring.

James did the motoring, managing the twin 60 hp Volvo diesels engines with professional skill. I did the sailing. Long Story was fast off the wind but struggled upwind, like most cats.

What an amazing Christmas !
Hi Ian and Marlene, Thanks for sending us your pictures. We loved them all ! What an incredible experience for all of you ! The Long Story, the scenery, the water, the activities, the family time - all fantastic ! We'll have to hear more about the entire adventure when we get together this summer.
