54 hours from Provo to Samana!

March 4th,
2015 - Turks
& Caicos to Dominican Republic to Puerto Rico

Hello All,

Just a quick note to let you all know that we are now in
Puerto Rico waiting for weather again. Luckily, it's beautifully and sunny for
the most part, just really windy during the daytime. Too windy for even a
semi-pleasant sail (motor) in the direction we want to go next.

Although we've now been in Salinas, PR for a week, prior
to that, we've really been on the move. From Providencials, Turks & Caicos,
with our friend Steve on board, we made it to Samana in the Dominican Republic
in 54 hours. We stayed in Samana for four fun-filled days waiting for another
good weather window to cross the Mona Passage to reach Puerto Rico. The
crossing from Samana to Mayaguez, PR took another 24 hours. If we didn't have
Steve here as crew, this trip would have been broken down into much shorter
jumps.

We stayed in Mayaguez only for one day - just to check
into Puerto Rico, and since then, we've been to Boqueron, Gilligan's Island and
now, Salinas. Now that we are back in the "American" waters of Puerto
Rico, Marine Traffic and Vessel Finder are both picking us up.

Salinas is
a very protected anchorage, behind a large
mangrove. There are A LOT of boats here, a whole cruising community, and best
of all, the day we arrived was the day we were reunited with Craig and Christa
on Simunye. With Steve onboard Inspiration, the Indiantown gang is back
together! 😊

Love and Kisses from us to you! xo
