The River Avon
Beautiful sunshine on a spring day in October!Christchurch- great location just next to beautiful Hagley Park. Really pretty city, smaller than Exeter but we were amazed at how much of Christchurch was damaged by the earthquake.
The earthquake caused considerable initial damage to buildings bridges and services infrastructure but the ongoing effects will be felt here for years.
70% of all of the town centre has been or will be demolished. A temporary central shopping mall has been created out of shipping containers which is really quite good.
Freya and Stuart visited the Quake exhibition... me and daddy both thought it was amazing to find out what it was it was like, it also showed a video of teenagers using the cracks in the road as a skate park and one of the people fell in the hole!!!
