this is the most southerly point on the south island. still at near 45degrees it is not actually that far south!

this is a fossilised forest. not quite as exciting as we thought it was going to be. i was expecting scared trees!

who could resist a trip to the cadburys factory in Dunedin. we....ok i (rakesh) have always wanted to go to the one in Birmingham, and instead i have to go 1/2 way around the world!

lots of people had the same idea to visit the chocolate factory and the camper van/camp site was the busiest we have ever seen..we should have stayed in a sainsburys car park on a saturday morning...it would have been quieter.

again in Dunedin. The city boasts the steepest street in the world. at its steepest it is 38 degrees. as you can see from the pictures walking up was hard work... the camper van unfortunately didnt make it.
