Morning came very early and we hopped out of bed and prepared to go to the mountains. We headed for Cardrona and arrived at about 9am. After a few brief lessons from Ollie, Mark was off on his board whilst Dale skied behind him and Ollie brought up the rear.

We spent the entire day cruising the slopes and had a great time. Mark enjoyed his first time snowboarding and played by himself for a while while Ollie and Dale went off to tackle some more challenging runs with Georgie and Helena, who were with us. Lunch was sausage sandwiches, although we forgot to bring the bread, so they were really 'just' sausages!

Exhausted we piled back into the car at 4pm when the lifts closed and headed back into Wanaka. That evening the five of us ate a massive dinner and played some card games before turning in.
