I took Andrea to Queenstown while she was here for the weekend. It was one of the most busy and fun weekends ever. On friday we went up the gondola and went luging and walked on a walking track up there. Afterwards we went to queenstown's famous fergerburger (burgers literally the size of your face-we shared one and were stuffed) and then we went to a rail competition in the middle of the town. They pulled snow out from the mountains and had a rail competition between the snowboarders and skiiers. On saturday we spent the entire day at Coronet peak snowboarding, then went to a nice restaurant afterwards for dinner. On sunday we started the day off with bungy jumping at kawarau bridge, the first ever bungy jump in the world. It was a great experience and I loved it. I pressured my sister into doing it with me and her take on it is a bit different. She said it was the most terrifying experience of her life and she is not going to do it again. The jump we did was 43m long. After the bungy jump we went to a kiwi and birdlife park. Kiwi's are very
interesting birds. They have more mammal like characteristics than any other bird and they are pretty cool looking. We also saw tuatara's which have actually been alive since dinosaur times. It is a walking living dinosaur that lives up to 200-300 years. Pretty cool lizard. There was many other wildlife that we saw. We ended the weekend just by walking around queenstown and hanging out. It was a good weekend.
