So we're up here in Queenstown for a whole week. We've decided to split this into at least a couple of blog entries because we're here for a while, there's lots to do and we might not survive all the activities. So far, summer has returned and Queenstown is looking pretty good. We've walked up and down the local hill/mountain, stopping for 5 rides on the tea-trays that pass for a luge at the top of the Skyline Gondola ( and to eat a chocolate eclair and brownie ). Today we went for a ride on the Shotover Jet, a water-jet powered speed boat that zooms you up and down the canyons of the Shotover River at 80kph with lots of 360 degree spins and such like. Anyway, having broken ourselves in gently we now have the tough choice of deciding what else to do given the huge number of much scarier activities on offer.
