After leaving Kaikoura we had a day to kill before getting the ferry across to North Island so we spent a day in Nelson. I think the main point of Nelson is to use it as a base to explore the Abel Tasman National Park but we didn't really have time. So barely worth a blog entry really. We stayed on a massive campsite with the rest of New Zealand ( all of them ) and were woken up the next day by their Hi-de-hi style tanoy to tell us the endless activities on offer ( massages and caravan washing ). We opted for the caravan washing. Actually no, we drove to Picton to get our ferry.
