Today I drove in a foreign country for the first time ever !!! and in Victoria's old sports car - me and the clutch did not agree with anything in first gear
Little Paradise Garden and Lodge
On the road to Glenorchy we saw a sign for this place and you had to pay to get in and it was amazing and mental and totally kookie fun. The man who owned it was an artist he had built a hobbit house (with the most amazing views) and made all the furniture and the floors all out of wood and stones. The guest toilet is one of the most interesting I have ever seen the cistern was a fish tank and when you flushed they got fresh water and the loo was washed out with fish water. The little house had a garden full of birds including peacocks, sculptures rockeries, ponds and beautiful smells and colours.
Glenorchy
Fabulous views all the way there - windy roads up and down mountains - the bluest water ever - making the clear skies seem pale in comparison. To be fair all there is are lakes and mountains
and walks and places to eat (we will come to that) and birds lots of birds including black swans and one that makes a noise like a donkey.
The Trading Post - Glenorchy
Eating the hugest - yummiest carrot cake ever - this I have an urge to make when I get home
Queenstown and Prime for dinner
Victoria works in Prime part time and so went there to have our tea, it is on the water front in Queenstown, great location, great food, even greater company
